Parish Council Meetings

Meetings of the Parish Council are held in the Briercliffe Community Centre,
Jubilee Street, Briercliffe.
Meetings start at 7:30pm every third Tuesday of the month and the first 15 minutes are set aside to discus public questions which have previously been submitted 3 working days in advance...to ask and comment on any current issues.
Questions raised on the night will only be accepted at the Chair's discretion.
If you feel a topic or issue needs discussing please submit written questions at least three days before the meeting to the Clerk.

Normally everyone, especially Parishioners are more than welcome to attend, whether that is just for the public question time or for the full meeting, which can discuss some interesting and very relevant issues for Briercliffe.
During the current Covid situation, members of the public will be able to attend our ONLINE meetings by sending an email request to the Clerk, 3 days in advance (conditions apply) and a copy of the video will be published following the meeting.

The Parish Council also has a number of Working Groups:
The Strategic Working Group: all Councillors are members and the Parish Chair and Vice Chair are also the Chair and Vice Chair of Strategic Working Group. Two meetings are held each year in February and September, starting at 7:30pm in the Community Centre.
These two Working Groups are supported by the Parish Clerk.
The Finance Working Group: all Councillors are members and the Parish Chair and Vice Chair are also the Chair and Vice Chair of Finance Working Group. Two meetings are held a year in February and September, starting after the Strategic Planning Meeting in the Community Centre.
The Allotment Committee/ Working Group was disbanded!
Lead Councillor for Allotments is Cllr. Adam Dack and Secondary contact is Cllr. Russsell Hawkes.
The Planning Working Group members include Cllr. Frost(Chair) and Cllr. Vincent
The Community Involvement Working Group: Cllr. Vincent, with Cllr's. Hawkes and Higham.
The Contractor Working Group lead Councillor is Cllr. Ben Eastwood, with Cllr's. Simon Dack and Russell Hawkes
